Bluewater Hotel, Napier

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While the views from the balconies of the adjacent rooms were fantastic, the rooms themselves were extremely dated and old. The service was a bit hit-and-miss, with some helpful staff but also instances of unresponsiveness. The location suited us well, though being next to a fish processing factory was a downside. The dining didn't live up to expectations, and the facilities were average.

I had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The room was spacious and had a fantastic view, with a highly comfortable bed and wonderful pillows. The small spa bath was a lovely surprise, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. However, being located next to a busy main road and a factory at the rear did take away from the tranquility outside the room in the morning.

The room was clean and comfortable with most amenities needed, although it felt cold upon returning from our concert. The price of $189 seemed excessive for the room received compared to expectations.
